The rhythm guitar part is played on a cheapo Epiphone Les Paul Junior. We recorded that part in one take - pretty sure that was the only 'one take' track on the entire EP!
lyrics
Emily sits in her triangle chair
Keeping her head in the fog
Trippin’ on oxygen
Talking to postmen and dogs
And she don’t know how it feels
To be alone
It’s what I heard, what I said it was only
It’s just what I meant at the time
She pictures herself on a boat in the sunset
Rattles to me on the phone
And she don’t know how it feels
To be alone
And she’s not quite what she seems
To be at all
Should I take a little more time?
Should I run away and hide?
She’s so hard to handle
I just can’t find an angle
On Emily
Emily waits for a bus to the country
Running away from it all
Last thing I heard she be coming back Sunday
Looks like I’m in for a fall
And she don’t know how it feels
To be alone
And she’s not quite what she seems
To me at all
