The song was originally all 4/4, but I rewrote it to use 3/4 on the verses after both Ryan and I were dissatisfied with it. The jam at the end is all Ryan, with me doing a simple guitar part. The slide guitar part is me on the Fender Strat, in open G tuning.
lyrics
Packed up what was left
Of what was done and said
In my rusty car
Drove to Arkansas
Ten mornings
Ten blue Ozark nights
Scrambled in my bed
East Texas skies ahead
Waitress said this plate of runny
Eggs is all that's left
For you
Left for you
Broken souls in broken towns
No escape from down and out
Ten miles away from another mistake
Last face that I saw
Leaving Omaha
Backseat papers piled up
Screaming out the days
