The clean rhythm guitar part is played in open G tuning on a 1992 MIJ Fender Strat, so there are some interesting phrasings. In the outro chorus there's about 4 different guitar parts - busy, but it works.
lyrics
Come what may leaving today
After all this who would blame me?
Cover my tracks clothes on my back
After today who could save me?
Imagined tenderness
Short nights of ballroom kisses
Let it all go to shit
Spanish umbrella burning down
Drunk with who’s left in this no horse town
Streetlights in sorry mist
Ghost bedroom emptiness
You know it's better like this
Friends say forget we ever met
Easier now familiar stranger
No long goodbye waste of your time
Come to expect your howling silence
What's left is such a mess
Long nights their angry hiss
Let it all go to shit
Spanish umbrella burning now
No sense to make no break it down
It boils in my head
The things you never said
You think it's better like this?
